(Lyeth)*Lyeth taps her foot nervously, sitting on the edge of her bed and fretting about things. Too many things have happened lately. She wasn't there, but heard of the battle in The Mall. Some were lost. People were dying, and while that was nothing new, she still didn't like it. A shift in posture. This was too much, simply too much. She knows Kevin went looking for Aerik the other night, and from all accounts, it went badly. Badly. Hell, he'd KILLED a RUNner. She rolls her eyes and stands, pacing. Damn it all. Shred was acting too true to his namesake, really tearing things up. They didn't stand a chance at all against him. They -needed- Aerik. He was the only one who really knew what to do, or at least she HOPES so. The words of Zora come to mind... attack Lyeth and get Aerik's attention, through the recourser shield. It was a good idea, but where could she find a telepath strong enough to...? She blinks her green eyes. Of course... she knew exactly who to call on. Focusing a tight tunnel of thought, a whipshot of it, she streaks it out, as anyone can if they know how, to the one she wants... INDIGO. Lyeth is no telepath, not anymore, but she more than knows a trick or two. IF Kelsin wasn't closed off entirely, she should get the call, meant for her alone... its not a psionic summons, merely a thought ::Blue. Need your help...::*

(Kelsin) *she sat at her laptop, trying to finish up the STUPID report that her professor had given her at the last minute, and which was due the day after tomorrow. She blinked as the screen blurred in front of her...she had been at this WAY too long. Sighing, she stretched and got up to walk to the kitchen, needing some puffy chips if she wanted to make it thru typing out the rest of her paper. She stopped suddenly in her tracks, cocking her head to one side, hearing Lyeth call to her, always keeping a channel open for friends* ~What is it, Lye?~ *wondering if she'll be able to hear the reply. They hadn't done this in so long....*

(Lyeth) *A sigh of relief in her room, and Lyeth smiles to herself * Thank god... ::Need your help... come to the Lair? You know where it is, and mind the shields... they're still up I think:: *she walks to her door and pauses, waiting for a reply before she leaves for the Pit, in the main room*

(Mica) **Sitting there in the shadows his welcome was not all that great since he left them. Having disappeared for some time he had no idea what he was supposed to do. They scared him off the tests Old Scratch everything went to hell and he was stuck in the middle of it. Never mind the fact he was partly to blame. Shivering slightly in his corner he runs his fingers through the strawberry blonde hair pushing it back behind his ears he just watched them all go about their business. He was in the Lair...a dwelling for the RUNners a hide out if you could call it that. Sitting back into his chair the soft creek echoes in the small room breaking the foreboding silence which was the only thing that made him seem somewhat secure. He hated this he hated running from the GUARD he only came back for protection...and maybe to help out...that was it...he thought**

(Zakai) *Zakai blinks at the TV screen, flipping rapidly through movies.* bad special effects..../I/ can see the wires anyhow...that's just plain dumb...*winces as he comes to a music video, electric guitars wailing* THAT is flat out painful....isn't there anything INTERESTING on this damned thing? *has picked up a few mannerisms already from the household he's been staying in.*

(Zora) *Searching for LYTA she teleports to the cabin. Using the shadows she moves over to the Tavern. Checking the room out she doesn't see any known GUARD agents. Stepping out of the shadows she looks for Lyta.*

(Lyta) *she pushes open the door to the tavern, and looks around, having had another nightmare, the venom doing that to her as the pain leaks over into her mind, she scans the room sleepily*

(Indigo/Kelsin) *She looks confused for a moment and remembers to reply to LYETH before she stands there thinking things over* ~Gotcha 'Fire. On my way. Be there in a jiffy!~ Indigo breaks contact and exits her apartment, looking about quickly before she fires up, her blue flames licking around her in a crackling halo* Flash fry....*she mumbles to herself, grinning at her own joke, flying into the sky and heading to the mountain*

(Zora) Lyta!! *seeing her condition she frowns* You are going to have to tell me what is wrong so I can help.

(Lyeth)*Lyeth grins and nods, letting the contact break and steps out of her room and into the main, huge room, called the Pit for the vast circular impression set in the middle. A couch of sorts that faced the monstrous entertainment center. After all this time, she still loves what Heath did to this place. She shuts her door behind her and paces into the area, thinking. No way Aerik could ignore THIS summons. She doesn't THINK he can anyway. She hopes not. Now only if Blue will do it...*

(Lyta) *she sighs and shakes her head* I’m just tired...that is all...had another nightmare…it brought me back here again...*she mumbles*

(Zora) *frustrated she runs her hand through her hair* I think it's more than that, but I wont push you.

(Mica) **the hell with this he thought why sit here and quiver in fear like that? why stay here lurking in the shadows like a coward staying behind these lines fearing capture while others die risking their lives for one another. Pushing up from the chair the small frame scuffs across the floor and he looks around getting fully dressed he glances to his door for a second* Somebody could tell him what was going on ..couldn't they?...Pushing out of the room he stands still a moment just closing his eyes as if it were a moment he would have no turning back to.. Taking a big breath he shakes his head and opens his eyes and for the first time he was actually determined not to mess things up. Looking down to his wrist he sigh wondering if he remembered how to even operate the teleporter still**

(Lyta)*Lyta sighs again* i will be alright...you don’t have to worry about it...*she walks slowly to the bar and looks for the barkeep her face paler now once more*

(Zora) I do worry.. Between whatever is bothering you and the other problem.

(Zakai)*Zakai continues his channel surfing, the click of his claw-like nail against the remote's plastic the only sound in the room until he yawns.* maybe I should go scare the locals a bit- no, she'd have my hide for that....*click....click....click..*

(Lyta)*Lyta shakes her head* I assure you ...there is absolutely nothing you can do for me...*wonders how she just managed to miss her target today...well just her luck...she is stuck with the excess of venom for another day, and resolves to get into the Inn earlier in the day tomorrow*

(Zakai)*Zakai yawns again, displaying sharp teeth- not /quite/ fangs, but close- and glares at the TV.* if you don't show something good I'm going to throw this at you...*waving the remote in a threatening manner. He changes channel again- and prepares to throw the remote* last chance!

(Kelsin)*Indigo reaches the mountain, the shields beginning to tingle in her mind. Having been taught by Aerik, and knowing his psionic signature, she is able to 'squeeze' thru the shields and reaches an entrance to the Lair. She opens it, flying carefully thru the passages, heading towards the Pit, still in awe at the size and the equipment in the large cavernous system once she reaches her destination*

(Lyeth)*Lyeth stands in the main room, its huge and spacious, holding all the creature comforts teenagers crave. She perches on the edge of the Pit, looking down into it when she hears the roar of flames, and looks up, seeing Kelsin glide in on the blue fire that is her filename-sake. Lyeth smiles brightly, cheering a bit* Hey you. Been awhile. Thanks for coming. Need a favor. *she cuts straight to the chase, and waits, running a hand thru her dark brown hair*

(Zora)*Shadow decides to let things be again. She would have to wait for Lyta to decide when to tell her what was wrong* If things change please let me know.

(Kelsin)*Indigo stands in the Pit, looking about her, noticing a young man looking at his wrist. Indigo stands there a bit, thinking to herself*

(Mica)**sitting down on the couch Mica closes his eyes a moment assessing what he will do first what he CAN do first. After all he had been so out of touch with everyone...Well he would just have to put in an effort stay low for now and not get in the way...He could help when they needed him.** **looking to Indigo he raises a brow in curiosity he never expected to see her here…well then again he didn't expect to see much of anyone now a days. They were either off fighting battles or saving the world. Distracted from the device on his wrist he walks down towards the couch* Hello?** His voice was light he hadn't spoken much in the past few days after the double 'll''s it kind of perked up and squeaked. Blushing a bit he furrows his brow clearing his throat and speaking again clearer** Hello..

(Lyta)*Lyta nods and closes her eyes for a moment, futilely trying to dispel the pain she feels now...thinking....that last healing at the mall was just a bit too much, now she would have to live with it until she found a victim*

(Venin)*Venin enters through the back door, her arms laden with bags...whoever thought two boys would eat so much damn food..* Zakai! Geoff! anyone home? I need help getting the groceries in.

(Zora) Lyta:Anything I can get you now?

(Lyeth)*Ly blinks and looks down into the pit, smiling* Well hello there, Heath. Didn't hear ya sneak in!

(Kelsin)*Indigo looks over to LYETH, dismissing the young man for a moment, her eyes crinkling with her smile* Well, hello to you too! What, no hug? Sheesh! *rolling her eyes comically, and reaching forward to embrace her friend. She looks into Lyeth's eyes after the hug and notices a worry there* What's the matter? You know I'll help with whatever I can. I’m surprised you haven't asked yet.

(Lyeth)*Lyeth laughs softly, the first sound of amusement she's made in some time, and warmly embraces Kelsin, grinning up at her* Sorry.. one of those lifetimes, ya know? *she steps back and sighs deeply* You know, I'm sure, about Shred. I can't get a hold of Aerik.. he isn't listening to me. I need your help to... make him listen.

(Mica)**hearing the people talk near the edge of the pit Mica looks back his eyes narrowing slightly not really a glare but just trying to figure out WHO they are. Shaking his head as he runs his hair back he turns on the couch** Um...can I help you?

(Zakai)*there's the sound of the couch being turned over- someone jumping off it too fast again- and then someone rushing by her for the car. Zakai isn't strong- but he /is/ fast. and figures he might as well get this done with as fast as he can- since it seems like Geoff isn't around to help.* Hi! *as he rushes in again* get any sweets? *peeking in a bag before taking off again*

(Lyta)*Lyta sighs* maybe some tea...or something hot...*she holds her head and stifles a groan, knowing that would be all Shadow needs to hear from her to make her worse*

(Rocky)*quietly Rocky almost creeps down the hallway form her assigned room…maybe the damn warden isn't around this time. She always seems to know when I try anything around this damn place...she pauses in the shadow by the doorway as she notices people in the main room…damn!*

(‘Conda)ROCKY: *a shadow moves near her, to the side and behind. It waits there, watching, simply a shadow and the definite feeling of a ... -presence-...*

(Mica)**Mica Opens his eyes fully as he recognizes the familiar face he gets up from the couch and walks over to her a smile dances on his lips* Heya Ly...how are you? **he would give her a hug but right now he just doesn't feel right about that**

(Kelsin)*Indigo glances over to MICA, offering a warm smile* Hey there Kiddo. How's it been? Haven't seen you in a long while.

(Zora)*Nodding Shadow catches the tenders attention* One hot tea coming up.

(Lyeth)MICA:*Lyeth smiles again and raises her brows* Well, you'd KNOW if I ever saw ya anymore. *she grins, teasing* Where ya been? Hiding?

(Mica)Indigo~It has been quite the while hasn't it. **he remembers trying to avoid everyone before, his constant foul ups so embarrassing he nearly hated himself for them. about to say something else he seems distressed a moment but relaxes** How are you?

(Kelsin)LYETH:*Indigo frowns a bit at the obviously hedged subject* I’m getting a feeling that you want -me- to do something about that. Uh, Aerik put something in your head right? Hmmmmm, you need to spill it Ly. EXACTLY did you want me to do? *looking at her friend suspiciously, her eyes closing to small slits*

(Lyeth)INDIGO:*Lyeth grins devilishly, shaking her head and chuckling* Never try and hide thoughts from a telepath, hm? Thought you didn't subscribe to HIS methods.. *she reaches out a hand to lay on Kelsin's forearm very quickly after saying /that/* Just kidding! *then she bites her lip and nods* recourser shield. You know what those are, right? Can't remember if he taught you that... anyway. You attack me, mental attack, and it'll go straight to HIM. He'll feel it. It SHOULD wake him up or.. whatever. Will you do that for me? *she knows it could be dangerous.. as Kelsin should know, knowing who she's dealing with. Aerik was always volatile and unpredictable even on the best of days*

(Lyta) Shadow;*she notices and nods* thank you Zora...I don’t have any of this places money...and they always look at me funny when I use our money...

(Venin) Zakai: Jesus Christ kid! slow down! I don't need anymore furniture ruined. *chuckles as she tries to hide the ice cream before you reenter the room...she isn't stupid, she grabbed the bags with junk food…*I take it Geoff’s out? or at least hiding from the work...what'd you do today?

(Kelsin)MICA: *Indigo smiles again, chuckling to herself* I’m doing OK. Heck of a school schedule this quarter...but, what can I do? *shrugging one shoulder* I’ve been better, but I’ve been worse too.

(Mica)Lyeth~ You could say that...you could indeed. **shaking his head a bit he laughs softly closing his eyes he missed her so much he missed everyone . Looking back to her he smiles wide* Things are going to change though..

(Lyeth)MICA:*Lyeth blinks and looks over, tipping her head* Yeah? How ya mean? *her eyes narrow and she leans forward, scrutinizing* Heath.. how long ya been hiding? Do you even know what's been going on?

(Zora)Lyta: *Shadow grins* Don't worry.. When you get back to the house talk to Jack. He will get you some currency for here. I really should of thought of that earlier.

(Mica)Indigo~I think we all have been better ..I was wondering...what has happened? as of late that is. **he doesn't want to tread on any sensitive areas but if he IS going to help he DOES have to know what is happening. Aerik...something about him was off or so he could tell from the conversation**

(Zak)Venin: *Zakai comes in again, depositing a couple more bags, then skidding to a halt and shrugging* dunno where he is. I can probably track him down. his scent's pretty distinctive. as for what I did- I watched something dumb but funny- then Geoff left- so I hadda turn to the TV for amusement. *zips off again, still apparently seeking the junk food- though he's not an idiot. He could tell the scent of it was stronger in the kitchen. she already nabbed it.*

(Rocky)*Rocky senses the presence and tenses. She straightens and turns her eyes scanning the shadows aggressively, her tone loud and aggressive* god damn it! Does someone always have to follow me!

(Lyta)Shadow; *Lyta shrugs slightly* ....oh...I…didn’t even think to ask about that...being here is just to ...new...i always feel like it is an accident that I’m here...

(Mica)Lyeth~I have been in the dark a while…I just didn't know what to do…**running his fingers through his hair nervously this was the part he hated most when he had to face Lyeth**

(Kelsin)LYETH: *Indigo squints and thinks, pinching her chin between her thumb and forefinger, frowning, her brow furrowing* Yes, I know what recourser shields are, I can even do 'em...sometimes...its really -not- easy. Occasionally I use one on Carsen, tho he doesn't know it most of the time. *she deepens her frown and begins to pace, playing with the end of her long, thick braid* Uh, Lyeth...I don't like it. Not only could it mess you up, Aerik could mess me up...along with a lot of other telepaths if I can't keep -my- shields up. He could squish me into oblivion and beyond...*she sighs and sits on the back of the couch, crossing her ankles, trying to think thru everything* Now, why -exactly- do we need Aerik? Is 'Shred getting that bad? I heard about The Mall, but...that was just Warpole and his lackeys.

(Shadow)Lyta: *Shadow nods* I know.. Just remind me when we return.

(Anaconda)ROCKY:*The presence in the shadows makes a low, elegant chuckle. Then it shifts, becoming a bit clearer. A very tall, very willowy man stands in the half light. About 6'5'', a bit too thin for his height, with a shock of wild auburn hair. His eyes are hidden by round, small glasses, fully reflective, not allowing his eyes to be seen. The suit he wears seems a bit classic... as in the late 1800's, but it fits him very well, and he appears refined, graceful, assured. His voice is soft and gentle, with a distinct British accent, very proper* It -is- our house, you know. And its very rude to simply allow guests blunder about. Don't you think? ////// (Lyeth)INDIGO:*Lyeth groans and tugs on the girl's sleeve* But but but... But Kelsin, its the only way!! he isn't listening, not at all! *she grimaces and drops her hand, fidgeting* I know he could do that.. I know. But I'll leave my mind open and he can see the WHY and maybe he won't kill us... its our only chance. *then she pauses and blinks rapidly* Kelsin..! *she gasps it* You KNOW how bad Shred is! You KNOW what he can do, what he HAS done. Of all people, YOU should know! He's a TELEPATH... a very very VERY strong one. You know what that means..!! Of COURSE it wasn't JUST Pole and the others, they have CONTROL of Shred. Total control.... Don't you get it? *maybe its just becuz she's been the second most powerful telepath on Earth for three years, but she thinks its obvious exactly what this means..* ////// MICA: Its not good, Heath. not at all. Hang on, lemme do this and you'll get filled in. The GUARD has Razorshred.. *she says this as if it were the devil himself the GUARD has.. and maybe it IS. Heath should know how BAD this information IS...*

(Lyta)Shadow; alright...I will try...if only I could ditch this headache....

(Venin) don't worry about it. He'll show when he's hungry. *shakes her head as she watches you zip back out...what the hell did I take on, between him and Geoff I'll be grey before I'm 30..puts a couple of bags of chips on the table then turns to unpack the groceries*

(Zora) Lyta: That headache has something to do with what you aren't talking about doesn't it?

(LYTA) Shadow;*she sighs* ...don’t you ever give up? *pauses* ......sorry...I just cant think straight…*lowers her voice* .....sorry.....

(Zakai)Venin: he's done this before? * Zakai noses through the bags while figuring out what goes where to be put up- and homing in on the chips*

(Zora)Lyta: *chuckles* Nope... Not when it concerns my friends. In case you hadn't noticed I don't have many of those.

(Lyta)Shadow; ...why.....why did that guy try to kill me? *she looks up and smiles weakly*

(Zora)Lyta: Fear.. Instinct.. *frowns* From what I've gotten from the others they have been hunted for years. Many have been killed. He acted only to save himself.

(Venin)Zakai: *shrugs* its his style, he's probably gone off to one of his old haunts. You do the English I gave you?

(Lyta) Shadow; but I didn’t do anything to him...shoot! even the pimps usually have a reason before they waste you...*sighs* I...I don’t think I want to be around them if they are like that....

(Zak)Venin: *Zakai twitches a bit. Geoff HAD been asked to help him- but he vanished.* uh....well....kinda....

(Zora)Lyta: It's safer to be around them than the other side.

(Mica)Lyeth~**Looking to her a bit worried now his concern rises...what was going on? she was happy one minute now she’s scared half to death or so it seems. Waiting for her to tell the full story he just tries to make sense of all this**

(Rocky)*Rocky takes a half step back as the shadow coalesces into a man, her face visibly paling...she will never get used to living with 'freaks'…she takes an aggressive step forward, mainly to cover her unease* *her voice remains abrasive* Well then show me the door and I will gladly make myself scarce.

(Lyta)Shadow; well maybe I should just stay around the other people I know...the normal ones...I’ve been doing that for years....

(Venin) *RaE* kinda? as in you did some of it, or you merely looked at it?

(Zora) Lyta: *shakes her head* I don't think that will work for much longer.

(Lyta) Shadow; *looks back at you curiously* ....why is that?

(Zak)Venin: *Zakai grumbles a bit* I did more than that- I completed that alphabet stuff at least..

(Kelsin)LYETH: *Indigo flinches a bit, unknowingly jerking back from Lyeth and almost falling over the back of the couch. She exhales a long breath, restlessly brushing her bangs out of her eyes, which were troubled. Her shoulders slump almost in defeat, and she looks down at the floor* I know what Shred is now. It's a pity. *her eyes begin to look more worried* But....I’m still hesitant to do this...But I don’t think I have a choice, not really, do I? *with a sorrowful look she nods her head once, slightly* I'll do it. I don’t like it, but I'll do it.

(Venin) Zakai: *Smiles* well that’s a start…and the rest?

(Lyeth)MICA: *She doesn't answer right away, but she grins, a bit darkly, a bit to brace for any backlash as INDIGO accepts to do what she asked* In a minute Heath.. I hafta get Aerik first... ///// INDIGO:*Lyeth sighs almost happily.. or that may be too bright a word to use. She nods and waves a hand* Not unless you think YOU can reach him. But I think he's tuning -everything- and everyone out. I screamed and screamed for him mentally and got no answer. You can try first if ya like, but... I believe this is the only way. *she doesn't look too pleased, but keeps up the facade of bravery* //// (‘Conda)ROCKY:*The gentleman smiles softly, doesn't move or respond to her tone, his hands clasping behind his back, his head tilted down to gaze on her from behind the glasses* I think you know how I'll respond to that. If you don't like the arrangement, take it up with Jakorri.

(Zak)Venin: *Zakai looks down, embarrassed* uh...it kinda.....caught on fire...

(Zora) Lyta: With the way things are heating up I don't think you can hide anymore.

(Lyta) Shadow;*she shrugs* why? how are they to know me from any other street person out there now? i will just go back to what i was before...*with an inward flinch she adds sadly to herself 'without Maggie'*

(Mica)Lyeth~**watching as she speaks so differently with the others he moves away from the group and slides onto a couch. Was he really prepared for this? so much had happened and who was this guy that sounded like he was their worst nightmare? something was up but no one would tell him yet**

(Zora)Lyta: If that is what you want I can't stop you. They can tell who is an unnatural though. Plus it sounds like they are hunting for the unknown now just as much as the known.

(Lyeth)MICA:*She turns for a minute and sighs* You remember Razorshred, right? Few years ago, when Aerik was still in MY head... *and she knows Heath was around for that, he'd been living with Jakorri since the beginning, the first unnatural Jaki had ever found and taken in* ...and those five who called themselves The Enhanced? Remember? They killed dozens if not hundreds of unnaturals just for the fun of it. Shred was their leader, the most powerful of telepaths, Aerik had said, to ever walk this planet most likely. Anyway, you know Aerik beat him with Ricochet's help, her snapback shields. Now the GUARD has him, and has been using him to do... oh god, tons of things...

(Kelsin)LYETH:*Indigo sits there, thinking, her mind almost visibly whirling. Finally, she shakes her head.* No, if you couldn't get thru to him, then I don't think I'll be able to either. He was inside -your- head for a few years, AND you're related. If he didn't answer, then he wasn't listening. I do think an attack will get his attention, but you -have- to keep your mind open and that we're just trying to get his attention at the front of your thoughts....no matter WHAT happens in your head. You have to keep it centered on that point. Can you do that? I think that's going to be the only way to keep him from killing both of us...although it's still a slim chance....*a worried frown crossing her face*

(Lyta)Shadow; *she sits back and watches you, her headache pushed back into semi-consciousness for the moment* ....well who is to say that I am one of those anyways? how do unnaturals become the way they are?

(Lyeth)INDIGO:*Lyeth nods, confident she can do that* yes... I can. I know that's what we'll have to do. I'm aware and prepared. As soon as I can feel him paying attention, I plan to shove everything at him, all at once. It should work. If not.. *she makes an apologetic face* Then hey, I'm REALLY sorry... *she straightens and focuses, readying herself, and squeezes her eyes shut* Okay... ready when you are... Make it fast and strong.

(Zora) Lyta: They are created.. Tell me.. Were either of your parents in the military?

(Mica)Lyeth~**his jaw nearly drops off his face. Gawking for a moment he shakes his head and just watches her* No...no no no **he repeats it several times stunned more than anything as fear takes its own toll on him** But this can't happen...how would they even touch him if he is so powerful? why would he help them? **closing his eyes he takes in a deep breath contemplating his next words*so how many...has he taken?

(Lyta) Shadow;*she laughs* I don’t think that Maggie ever was...*frowns* I didn’t know her boyfriends before.....*trails off*

(Lytra)MICA:*now another voice answers, soft and clear, belonging to Lytra, a telepath also semi-trained by Aerik, though she'd thought it was Lyeth. If she'd known, at the time, it was a MAN teaching her... she doesn't think about that right now. When Aerik was bored, he made his own things to do and it amused him to stretch the minds and limits of other telepaths. It wasn't out of kindness or caring he did these things* We don't know how they caught Shred. We only know they DID and that's all that matters. Help them? Of course not. He's drugged, basically just a vessel of near endless power for the GUARD to use. He does only what they command, and this we know from the psychics and cognates we have. Not all survived the scanning. And many were horribly damaged. *she sighs and pushes her brown hair from her face, the pink highlights in it gleaming. She didn't live here, just was a friend, one of the few others the unnaturals here trusted to share the Lair with. And she feels safer under the massive shields about the Lair, the ones Aerik had put in place himself, free-floating*

(Rocky) Damn it, I've tried! *she punches the wall hard enough to send a few shards flying*

(Venin) Zakai: *she just stares, unsure if she even wants to know* fire? -----

(Zak)Venin: *Zakai looks very embarrassed and holds up his hands- revealing that he's wearing fingerless gloves- another reason he was being so quick in handling the bags.* yeah…caught on fire...*snaps his fingers, sparks coming off them.*

(Lyta) *she finishes her tea and stretches, covering her yawn*

(Kelsin)LYETH:*Indigo almost chuckles in spite of herself.
