Planned Vengeance

~VENIN~
*the file before her slams shut and she leans..the chair threatening to fall over her back arching and cracking before once more allowing the chair to drop heavily back.....she stares at the file for long silent moments...the file name plastered along the top EI-QUE....the file had only been updated a few days ago...after the encounter between them...she apparently wasn't intended to have encountered Jesse, at least not yet....a light chuckles leaves her lips at the ...unscheduled meeting between two ex-ROGUEs.......it was nice to mess with plans occaisonally......perhaps she could mess their plans up better.....she reaches for the other file on the table and opens it up once more reading the incriminating lines ....went on an unauthorized reconnaisance mission to retrieve a high priority capture...utilizing no security measures or backup, the capture was successful.... similar notations were included on the appoximate date of her own capture as well......there were scattered throughout other references to his impersonation of his brother on various missions......these just screamed the truth to her and made her wonder why she hadn't noticed the facts before..however for now...this is knowledge she will keep to herself....she stands up, returns the files..then purposely heads down the hallway stoppping before a room, and signalling her arrival, wondering is the resident of that particular room was even in.....there were plans she had formulating in her head...and only one could possibly assist her*

~EI-QUE~
** She worked, as she did since the moment she was able. Whether it was her mind, her relations, or her technologies. She had already created a state of the art de-scrambler for the RUNner`s pesky scramblers for the GUARD trackers. She had already updated far more systems than she originally created, and closed all leaks into GUARD`s databases. Their accounts, their system files. They were impenetrable to any outside force. . . almost. A fortress that Null, Wile, Omit helped her make. And weren`t they surprised to see her back. So were a lot of people. Some remembering her as the ice queen, but that was before. Before Rikky released her from her mental coils. Before she knew, everything she knew. The latest device she worked so admittedly on was one of a supreme design. Something that she was surprised she never thought of before. Perhaps there was no pressing need. . . but now, with a clear picture in her head. . .thanks to files on a few techno-paths, and other devices GUARD used to suppress UNnatural abilities. She had a few ideas forming, and knew of the perfect assistant in such affairs. She kept these thoughts well guarded and hidden behind the latest gizmo. Aside from that she knew no one would dive that deeply in her mind, no one had a reason to. And if she planned it correctly, she could place the plan -elsewhere- and retrieve it for later. Instead she continued to work until noting a familiar, very well shielded mind approaching. Her mind tipped arched touching the fortress that protected Yvette`s mind. A smile, near malicious in nature surfaced for the briefest of moments. Her work station littered with parts, but only in that area. It was typical, that everything else was spotless. Files filed in drawers, everything in it`s proper place. ** Enter Yvette ** She cooed softly, still slumped, not even adverting her eyes. Since being at GUARD, too her mind grew, at an near astounding rate. She already surpassed all the expectations that they laid before her, then her brush with death, the healing hands of Rikky, her mind grew stable, logical. Deadly. **

*she doesn't even conciously notice the mind touch...but then she didn't have to...her shields were always there, always up, the snapback field ever ready for the slightest touch..and they start to react as Ei-Que brushes her mind...but then settle once more as the touch is withdrawn.....she enters the room, her gaze quickly sweeping over its contents before settling on the components before you....*Greetings *silence hangs in the air...she wasn't one for speech, more of action....but she needed help if she was to implement the plans slowly forming in the back of her mind...and she didn't know if she could trust this one, this person....how loyal was she to GUARD? and could she keep something from them...even for a little while?*

** Awaiting for the door to open, placing the device on, testing it a few times. ** Greetings indeed. **She could feel the mechanics work their magics, but she would need to eventually field test the thing. Pulling it off her arm, and placing it down carefully before looking at Yvette. The same face, but as Jesse knew a different person. Saying light hearted. ** I think it is odd that we have juxtaposed. ** Standing not showing much of her former meekness. Placing her hand upon her chin, folding the other around her slender waist. She looked at Yvette, carefully, not seeing the woman as she had before. Something was lost, the naivete, the innocence. . .something. Instead of looking at the woman as a comrade, which she still should have, she viewed her weaknesses, her strengths, weighted them carefully. She trusted too easily before. But Rikky taught her that lesson. She would not trust the aid, of another before herself. She would not allow herself to be thrown open that way. Not again. As she did realize it was Rikky that brought her in she thanked him. He showed her the gravest human flaw. Total, utter, unconditional faith in any human being, any human establishment. Stepping a small step forward and then allowing her arms to fall to her side. An honest smile on her face. ** I suppose that if this is how you will be, I will have to learn to adjust. As you to me. ** Moving back to her trinkets and such, saying over her shoulder lightly. ** I do assume, that this isn`t a courtesy call. From what I have read, I doubt you have come to inquire about my welfare, or discuss the weather. ** Moving her hands quickly, agile, placing her tools where they belonged. ** So old friend, what may I do for you? ** //As you to me // she thought mildly. Her attitude was far from ruse, but complex, and welcoming. **

Juxtaposed? *she shrugs* I suppose we have switched more than just sides *her arms cross over her chest and she leans against the wall, a cowboy boot propped bhind her...an old habit, one which carried over from her old life, her old personna...few things followed her...her posture, her choice in clothing...those were about it...*everyone has to change and adjust eventually....*..she watches Jesse closely, noting the changes....the old Venin would have been by delighted by them, she strived to bring Jesse from her shell...but this Yvette...this one didn't really care, she noted the changes...nothing more...the changes had no affect on her* You've been doing your homework I see.....*silence once more ensues then Yvette takes the jump, guns blazing ..it was do or die...she knew what she wanted and knew what she needed to accomplish it* I need help to kill Eclipse * Not capture, kill....there was no halfway for her...she wanted Aerik, that had been her goal since she came back...that was all she had thought about since*

** Eventually placing all her items into their places, and wiped the working area clean. Sitting then, crossing her legs, turning a swivel back to look at Yvette while she spoke. There were a few things Jesse did regret about being at GUARD, nothing that would force her hand to leave. She did care for others, as much as she had before, mind you, but she refused to place their life before her own. She had too few moments left to breathe this air, to drink of this water called life. There was much in her shell she did not experience. So much she would not deprive her existence of. She did miss Geoff, who was always so kind to her, she missed Alan, though she had a lot to explain to him. She missed Zak, though they were the only ones she drew close to. Blinking out of her lamenting thoughts to what was at hand. Yvette the woman who stood before her, an empty echo of a woman she remembered. A few things, the posture, the mannerisms. The zeal turned to apathy, the laughter to spite. The freedom to dedication. Was it a ruse from the twisted mind of the bastard Aerik? Was it possible he made her fall in love with another facade? Because of this admiration and such, she still put forth effort to at least to try to like Yvette. She blinked, and said very clearly and concisely, looking Yvette dead in the eye. ** Why Venin, I could not help you do that. ** A quick flick of her eyes towards the myriad of camera`s that were watching them at that moment. ** As much as I despise the man, we would have to wait for clearance, for authorization. . . and I highly doubt that they`d let two rookies, who are former redcoats, go it against the strongest telepath on the other side. Who /used to be/ my ex-lover. Just wait GUARD will remedy the situation. ** She got up moving towards Yvette, looking her again straight in the eye. Placing a hand on her shoulder. Slowly carefully. ** I know how much you must loathe him, he couldn`t even erase that when he scrambled your mind. ** Reaching for her hair, and then folding her arms over her chest again. Her mind carefully pressing against the snap-back field, as she stared at Yvette. A message clear. -Let me in- **

*she too glanced at the cameras and merely shrugged..the cameras didn't bother her..she knew they had been watching her, knew her file listed her as obsessed she didn't care..only an idiot wouldn't have figured out what her ultimate goal is....the hours she had spent pouring over files, the days in heavy training...the wreck room sessions with Rikky..each session an experiment, hunting for weaknesses...* We won't be rookies forever then GUARD will take care of it...I am GUARD *she watches as jesse approaches, sees here reaching for the shoulder yet still there is the slightest flinch...not even a true flinch, more of a withdrawal* Loathe is too mild a word *she doesn't feel the pressing, but she feels the reaction of her snapback as it moves to retaliate and dampens it, slowly letting it drop...then pulling her shields down....this was something she detested...this vulnerability...but as of late she had been doing it often, too often for her liking..a fist clenches, nails digging into flesh...as she slowly nods*

** Pausing and shaking her head lightly, saying aloud, softly, though she knew the microphones could hear everything. ** Yvette, some things you have to let go of. Let them deal with it, if you are lucky they will allow you the final blow. If I even think that you would dare take on Aerik yourself, I would have to report you. . . ** Her voice trailed off and then lightened for a moment. ** I still wish to be your friend Yvette, even though things have changed. Even though . . . we are not the people that we knew. ** Glancing back towards her keeping the conversation very light, and moving back towards the desk, while she pressed her mental fingers further. Slipping through the shield, as gently as she could pressing against Yvette`s mind. A gentle whisper, knowing how much the woman despised mental contact. Very light, as if perhaps Yvette`s own thoughts. ~~ I am here. ~~ Jesse sat and then said quietly. ** Perhaps we should change the subject, tell me how is your training going? ** A whisper, a faint tolling of her voice that would ring clearly enough, gingerly enough, through Yvette`s mind. ~~ We can not discuss this here. . . not that way. We need to speak elsewhere. . . by other means. . . I am assured you have a plan to rid us of the bastard, as do I. Just wait, oh just wait and see what I do have in store. ~~ With that she slipped further away from the mind, the tendrils hardly connected. Just enough to hear thoughts. Jesse respected Yvette enough not to pry, but things were evidentially clear. Her mind, her feelings were not the same. This saddened Jesse to a point as well. She cleared her throat, and began looking through files she memorized. **

Some things I won't let go....*thoughts of Zak flit for the barest second through her mind only to be supressed as quickly as they arrived*..the final blow doesn't matter to me...I only wish to be a witness to his end....know for sure that he is dead...*she hears the voice in her head and almost reflexivley slams down...but stops herself, she had to do this... the fingernails dig deeper and she swallows heavily...forcing one thought to the surface of her mind....~the gardens are unwatched~.to watchers she is silent, almost immobile...but that is the norm for her in this life....they don't know what transfers between their thoughts...so they don't know how difficult it is for her to talk while trying to keep her shields down*

** Eyes flickering over the screen as the mental hands released their intrusion past the shielding. Releasing her fingers, and gently leaving everything exactly the way it was to be. Adding a small ** Mmm hmmm, Yvette, also what did you expect to find so fascinating about reading these files over and over? ** Flicking the screen off suddenly. ** Not that GUARD would allow you to know anything vital, anyway. I /know/ . ** Turning looking directly at her. Tilting her head slightly. ** I know it to be a bit forward, perhaps you could help me train a bit more? ** The question was honest. If she were forced in a battle with a RUNner, she might not be able to rely on her mind and technology alone. Requiring physical discipline, and no one was better at this point than Yvette in that department. ** I was hoping to train on endurance, running, sprinting. Will you help? I will not be a bother. .

*a deep exhale signals your departure and the shields snap back into place, fingers uncurl, leaving blood filled crescents in their wake..which quickly heal leaving only faint smears of blood* The files? anything....I have learned much, however not what I initally sought....I need to know when he got into my head....She shrugs once more* I seek between the lines...the finite print... the unspoken..*she blinks as Jesse asks for training then nods* Yes....I can assist you there *she looks Jesse over, her eyes slowly roaming her body, like inspecting a piece of meat* and strength, you also need hand to hand

** Slipping off of her chair, gracefully, standing. Yvette had been, for as long as she known the woman, a touch reckless. But at this rate their precious plans, and time would run out. Jesse knew to take on such a formidable foe, you simply could not go in guns blazing. Remembering back to just one thing, just one thing said in passing. . . before they even engaged in a battle against Razorshred. But to live by hope is to die by hope, men and women of action were the only ones who ever got things done. So be it. ** Hand to hand. . . I doubt that that sort of training would be necessary for a telepath of my caliber. Endurance, to withstand long hours of using my abilities. Most tend to forget I was given other abilites aside from my telepathy, ** Giving a long glance to Yvette, showing her extreme reluctance. ** I have my quick mind, my uncanny agility, my true Unnatural powers. I highly doubt that there will ever be a situation I could have to rely on just /one/ of those alone, let alone none. ** Moving to the dresser, where all of her clothes were arranged by color and size, picking a perfectly folded sweat uniform from the batch. Slipping into those, rather than her current attire. When she finally laced up the black sneakers, she pulled her growing hair back into a very small pony-tail. She was efficient, and quickly ready. ** But if you insist, I would have no other sparring partner than you. ** What good was brute strength when there were more efficent ways of defeating a foe? And who would dare stand against her in such a manner? Pausing for a moment, reviewing her weakness, that had stared her in the face for quite some time. Strength. Shaking her head lightly and smiling. It was better to have an additional weapon in your arsenal, even if it was never used. . . though what a waste. **

*she shakes her head* You should know some of the basics... what if your powers are disabled? agility won't always save you.....it will help, but it won't save you. and learning such will also also increase endurance *She nods briefly* very well, if you prefer *seemed that was one thing she could do around here..training...she had already done training with several rookies, was training with Rikky, and now Jesse...that was fine with her...physical exertion was one of the few things that cleaned her mind of her obsession*

** Knowing Yvette would not be `gentle` in the training either. Offering an inward sigh. She was not really interested in the training itself, but instead getting to the gardens with a reliable excuse. Her mind`s glitter and clouds form thoughts that most of the telepathic team claimed were unsalvageable, were all fallen to the base of her mind. Like a giant snow globe, a thin layer covered her thoughts. ** Indeed, if you insist, though you underestimate me. I do know basic training in small firearms, basic fighting techniques. As much as I despise them. **Moving towards the door, awaiting for Yvette to follow. Her shielding now more precise, stronger than it had been. She raised it ever slower to assure again no one would be peeking at these precious plans of hers. Not even her precious Rikky. In a way she too felt as if she were protecting him from a darker half. A noble thing to do. She knew the bastard best, she knew, well /at one point in time/ his weaknesses. He had grown to such astronomical power since then, but she had a higher reserve, of Rikky`s power, Razorshred`s power, and a few other tricks up her sleeve. /She/ was whole. What if that was not enough? She debated this too. Would the man even care, appreciate the severity of her actions? Would the man even notice or ponder why? Was it worth wasting her own life, which she learned to value so much, on a lesson he could not learn? ~~ Shall I find out? ~~ A smile deepened at this, though remorse soon followed. She /did/ once love that man. At one point in time loved him more than anyone, anything. How dare he betray that trust, betray Yvette, the selfish pig. In a way, it was not hatred. No it was apathy. It was not vengeance, it was pure justice. Their lives that had shattered, and broken in his wake, the reign had to end. Forcing those thoughts to settle too as she, in her mind`s eye, let the remaining thoughts that shattered to a fine dust roll through her `fingers`. Finding one or two pieces that seemed to fit together, and as she did before began the process to re-establish memories. Knowing there were things there, she made herself forget. . . when she was not proficient. She read the files, and for the first time acknowledged a hazy past. She understood too what Yvette spoke of, reading between the lines. . . she found parts of herself there. Though at a point, you stop looking, because there is NOTHING more to find. **

*she nods briefly* I know what training you've had...and what you lack...I also know what skills you neglect....*she moves over to the computer...calling up the wreck room, and the training rooms* It would seem that most are occupied now...there are two available on the upper levels *She turns to look at Jesse* or I suppose we could do some basic training in the garden meadow *she turns back to the computer typing in a few more things* should I reserve the training room? *...she wasn't quite as harsh as she led everyone to believe...or as driven...her thinking was that if she makes her obsession obvious, then they will all think that when she makes her move against Aerik it will also be as obvious...for one as driven as she seemed to be was rarely devious*

Yes, we can train in the gardens until one is free. I like the air out there better. ** She snatched the small device from her desk, before stepping outside of the door. Quickly, placing it in her pocket. The thing looked somewhat like a headband, two receptors on either side of her head, to stimulate each lobe. Placing the thing in her pocket as she took her first few steps. Walking through the halls, letting the icy glares of the other GUARD members melt off of her. She knew what they thought, she heard their snide remarks beneath their mind`s breath. She strengthened her shielding and blocked it all out. She would have to discuss with Yvette, and allow to place the plans in Venin`s mind. They wouldn`t be unusual if found there, because of the woman`s sheer hatred for Aerik, and she kept thinking plans, contingencies through in a very logical manner. The worst thing that would happen is that Yvette, and of course her own body would perish. Luck had nothing to do with it, instead it was well thought out planning, and simple aversions that would take place. Suddenly, as soon as the pair stepped outside she did something rather surprising. As their feet this the unsurveillanced soil, Jesse simply turned to look at Yvette, throwing mild mental attacks at her shielding. Allowing them to bounce back, with added discomfort. Each attack sought a weakness in the fortress that was around Yvette`s mind, and Jesse was sure Yvette felt this too. She didn`t explain her actions, instead increased the intensity of them. Pretending, that she was not doing a thing out of the ordinary at that point, and started a paced jog towards the track, knowing Yvette would easily keep pace. It was a snail`s pace for this woman, and Jesse knew it. She continued the attacks, until they began splitting through her mind, becoming aware how the field was set up. Touching it with her mind, feeling the raw power that was nearly amplified back to her. She smiled, looking at Yvette, her hand reaching for her pocket. ** Put this on. . .** Awaiting to test her newest creation, trusting the woman enough to not break it. **

Fine...*she switches th computer off and follows Jesse out the door...a silent eyebrow raising in curiosity as she sees her grab something...she notes the glares of others as they pass through the hallway, hears the whispers in their wake ..traitors...together.....allowed?..Yvettes only response is to return a cold glance to the glares, occaisonally adding a sneer....most of the rookies at least falling silent for a few brief seconds...as they step onto the soil she feels the assualt begin.. a frown the only sign that anything unusual was happening....she easily keeps pace with Jesse...* this had better be for a damn good reason *the words a low growl as they pass beyond earshot of others....she can feel the attacks on her sheild and can feel it start to react but she holds the snapback in place, not allowing it to fully retaliate....least not until she had figured out what was going on..she looks at the headband that Ei-Que hands her* ...and noone's going to notice this from a distance? * skeptisicsm hanging heavy in her voice, then she shrugs and puts it on.* what is it?

I highly doubt they will. I know it is hard to do, but trust me. ** The damper was in place, and Jesse only could now test if it worked. They continued their jog, Jesse allowed her mind to heal just a bit before she would allow herself to very /strongly/ attack Yvette`s mind. If the desired results were met, about half of the power would bounce back, about 7/16 absorbed by the device, and the other one sixteenth fall on Yvette`s mind. /If/ she predicted the strength of the shield correctly. This sixteenth was not enough to truly hurt Yvette, just basically a slap in the face, a sting, perhaps even something of a whip laying it`s leather grasp over the woman`s mind. Enough to startle her at the least. She picked up the pace before insuring the attack. Saying very lightly, without a heave of her breath at all. **It is just something I made in my spare time. Get ready, place your snap-back on strong Yvette, not full, but strong. ** Giving her that warning, waiting a brief moment, before allowing the mental attack pull through and wail to Yvette`s mind. Slamming her shielding up, not to receive the feed-back that would follow if it was successful, and bracing her mind if the attack came back amplified. It would be enough to cause her a migraine for a few days, if not successful. Enough to make her crumple for a few minutes, need Yvette help her back to her room, lie down. A small price to pay. She had faith in her invention. And if this was productive, she would switch the device to amplify Yvette`s field. Returning any attack up to twelve times the strength. That does not sound like much, but if this attack she just released were to come back even quadrupled, and Jesse was unprepared. . . she would have been rendered unconscious, and need of desperate repair. **

*trust?...what was that?...soemthing she didn't know anymore, and didn't really care...trust led to trouble....she didn't really trust anyone...but she knew that their goals were currently the same, and she knows Jesses nature...she nods briefly and readies her snapback... she stumble slightly as she feels a small portion of the attack...she wasn't used to mental attacks of any sort, her shield and snapback prevented such from happening...this was like a splitting migraine ripping into her skull....and it was pain she couldn't assimilate another strange experience for her.....only a small part of the attack passed through her shielding, the rest was stopped and reflected back or absorbed...the same strength that hit her was absorbed by the machine,

** She felt the wake travel back to her in waves. Distorted. She expected the brunt of the attack, and crumpled just a bit in stride. She didn`t expect /that/ much back. She figured maybe a third of what her mind received. . . she underestimated Yvette, or overestimated the device. Her mind taking back most of the brute force of the blow. She tried not to let it effect her stride, kept it slow, as if running for distance. Her breathing was slightly labored. Refusing to allow her eyes to water, as they got to the track, which was thankfully empty. Eventually she did slow and stop, looking at Yvette, who knew the REAL reason. ** You see why I need to work on endurance then . . . ** She allowed a small chuckle to release from her lips. ** I could hardly make it this far. . . ** She labored even more as stars began to swell and circle around her vision. She did not, the smallest of stumbles, the faintest hint that it did work. It worked, and only as a prototype too. She allowed herself to smile a bit more at this, her hands on her knees, panting. Reaching up to the device, and pressing a few things while it still nestled on Yvette`s head. ** I have to fix it a little, ** She said above a whisper. . . then very quietly, straining. ** Put your shields, as /low/ as you can. Lower than you ever dared. . . ** The words escaping as she stood upright. She would have this headache for a day or two, next time she would have her shields on full when she used it. Next time it wouldn`t be against a snapback field. Then flinging the mildest of mental attacks, that even hurt her mind to do. Something the equivalent of a small pebble flung at a windshield. Not even that fast, waiting, knowing that it would be back, around 36 times the attack force, if the calculations were correct. If Yvette really dared to lower her sheilds. **

*she rubs her temples as they stop briefly by the track...her breathing is steady, but her head pounds* 'That' hurt * each word accented strongly....she could feel pain, but long ago she had learnt to use it, to basically ignore it...but this, this was inside her skull and she could do nothing about it...she highly doubted that even her healing factor could do anything for it...*she takes a deep breath...and lowers her shields and her snapback....or as low as she can put her snapback and still keep it up....it no longer reflected back the powers at ten times...now it was only a mere three...still a powerful attack....fingernails imbed in her hand once more, drawing blood as she waits for the attack...then feeling almost nothng except for the action of her snapback..she almost sighs in relief...that wasn't a pain she had been looking forward too*

It was supposed to. ** She waited, as the process took it`s course. The power she could feel rumbling, gathering strength and power like a snowball. Growing stronger and larger as it approached. Even with her shields at full this time, the power was staggering. . . before she could even explain to Yvette /what/ she was testing, she let out a small gasp, falling to her knees completely. It was unexpected. Completely unexpected, what one would deal with . . .when mixing technologies and mental powers. Aerik had mentioned he tried to control electronics mentally, that they had the same base as a mind, which strained him greatly to do it. No she was going to let a machine govern her mind. But the thousands of calculations and hundreds of plans could not prepare her for this. A mere pebble turned into a boulder, slamming its way down on her mind, before dispersing. She whimpered, then shooting Yvette a glare, breathlessly saying. ** I told you to take /down/ your shields, are you /trying/ to kill me? ** Pure anger accompanied the tone. No it couldn`t be, her device, the prototype wasn`t that effective. Yvette was just being stubborn, or so she rationalized at the time. She curled shaking, before forcing herself upwards. Making sure other telepaths could not feel the effects of this blow. So slowly getting to her feet, and then grabbing on Yvette for support. Finally moving to the shade, of a nearby oak. Nearly ripping the device from Yvette`s head. Shoving into her pocket, and breathing a very light. ** I am sorry , I did not mean to snap at you just now, but I was not going to hurt you, I needed your shields down to test something. I do not blame you for not complying. . . ** Feeling almost as if the test itself was more trouble than it was worth. ** This thing. . . ** She breathed ** Will damper, and amplify mental powers. It works both ways though. First I made it damper your powers. Making them less effective, last time, I simply amplified your powers. . .making them stronger. That is why it was imperative for you to lower your shielding. . . ** She tried to explain. Wondering if the words were lost on the woman. **

*She sees Jesse fall to her knees and quickly steps forward to help her up*kill you? *a chuckle surrounding the words as she helps you to the shade.*.I don't think so...not that way anyhow *Jesse rips the headgear off and Yvette once more reaches up to rub her temples* I did lower them....as far as I could...without removing them anyhow *A shrug raises her shoulders* maybe you didn't calculaate my strength, or your machines flawed?...it obviously dampens pretty good

** Shaking her head, no it couldn`t have been the device, Yvette was obviously stronger than she determined, even after her testing. After resting beneath the tree for a few more moments, not to arouse suspicions, she stood. Saying. ** You understand then what I am intending to do with a few of these. Aerik will be unable to trace my mind, while dampened, If one is placed on him I can damped his powers only I am sure. Because he has no snapback, the full power of my attack should be able to cause quite a bit more damage. . . If we placed one on you, and moved his hand to attack you. . .** Her eyes sparkled as she stood dusting off her bottom. ** Perhaps sway him to move into your mind, somehow. . . All you have to do is get close enough, to either put one on him, I will make a smaller version, or attack. I will be there as well, I will attack mentally first. ** Jesse streched again, her mind splitting, she would be more prepared next time. Even the pebble, which was to miscalculation amplified about 450 times, not 36. Surprise was her downfall, as it would be to the bastard. She smiled a bit more, knowing she could sleep in peace, whether it be in death, or in victory. ** Since I feel there isn`t much more to discuss, I am going to place then plans in your mind. Erase them from mine. They are safer with you, and your obsession. ** Looking at Yvette, saying very lightly. ** I will only be there for a moment, and I promise to give your clenching hands a rest after that. . . until I need the plans again. ** The whole plan was actually rather simple. But dangerous. Starting her jog simply after that, moving her mental pained fingers to Yvette`s mind, waiting for her `permission` to place the plans there. **

*she shrugs* I highly doubt he would go for a mental attack on me......I pose no threat in that area unless he does attack...I can try and get one on him....*she walks over and leans on the tree* If you distract him with a mental attack, then I can go for the physical...I know some weaknesses now..while attacking I can perhaps slip something on him.....*she pushes off the tree as you stand* In my mind? I dunno.....* long moments of silence hang between them as they both start to jog again...her mind running with the implications..then she shrugs and lowers her shields...it did make more sense for her to have the plan...after all she was obsessive..she would be formulating all sorts of plans..and in fact had....dismissing most...a few however were viable.....* when we go, bring a high charge tazer with you

** Her fingers slipped placing the plan in a correct spot. Covering it lightly with other thoughts, other memories. The process was quick enough. As exiting her mind, she paused, noting still the high maternal instinct that raced for Zakai, and smiled, placing a few more instinctual things. /Do not let anyone sway you from the plans when they are under way/ and very lightly . . . a matter of Jesse`s own insecurities. . . / Remember I am a friend. / Almost ashamed of her actions, she was performing the same twisted thing Aerik did. She sighed, she wasn`t through rewriting the woman`s history, personality. She was simply reassuring her trust, her camaraderie, even if it was only until their goal was met. Though would a friend do such a thing? One just did. A longing that set into her heart, perhaps she would have to reflect inwardly, take her own emotions in check, although that is what got her in the mess in the first place. ** I will not allow myself to remember the tazer, you will have to remind me when the time is right. ** Jogging again at the comfortable pace moving to the base, and eventually the rec. room where they reserved time. She very much did NOT want to deal with the training, but she promised Yvette, and they already reserved the room. Quietly, efficiently she erased the plan from her mind, the experience, only remembering she jogged a bit too far, and nearly passed out. And the result a strain headache. **

*her finger once more clench, digging into a palm, as she keeps her shields down, willingly letting you rifle through her mind...she doens't know what exactally you're doing...but she can feel you in there....each movement causing the pain her skull to pound harder, louder...she starts to wince, just as you withdraw....her hand once more coming up to press deeply into sore temples* ok, I'll remember then *she easily keeps pace with Jesse, her head throbbing with each step....as they approach the traingin room she stops and looks critically at Jesse, one hand reaching out to stop her* You okay, you aint looking so good

** She smiled shaking her head. . . ** I am fine Yvette, I just overexerted myself on the jog, this is the very reason why I must work on endurance. . . ** This being the truth, Jesse did not remember anything else, aside that she was working on a device, and what had to be done with it later. . . and even those were small echoes of what they should have been. She turned to Yvette, ** But thank you for your concern. ** Moving slowly, towards the sparring floor, dreading each moment, but knew somehow it had to be done. She removed the sweatshirt, and did a few arm stretches, watching Yvette. The woman could snap her, she would have to refrain from using her mental powers, and her Unnatural ability. . . as hard as that was. Those being the aces up her sleeves. She would have to rely on her intelligence, and agility at first, dodging the blows. Wincing, remembering the files. She supposed her father once preformed a similar act, whatever that may have been. She hoped this would not make those memories surface. ** What first?

ok...*she nods briefly..she wasn't gong to correct Jesse...* very well then... *she moves onto the sparring floor, and stands there casually while watching Jesse stretch* I think the martial arts are more apllicable for you, which style have you trained in?...or would you prefer direct hand to hand? *she was going to have to go easy...at least in the physical aspects....Unlike the rookies, she didn't have to enforce dicsipline...the rookies she was trying to break, Jesse she wouldn't least not yet* and would you prefer to start offense or defense?

Defense, ** She said almost instinctively. Ignoring the question of what she was trained in. ** I was not trained formally in any martial arts. I know basic sweeps, and evasive maneuvers. ** She fell silent for a long while thinking, watching everything Yvette was doing. Saying then in a slightly strained voice. ** Shall we start?

Very well...I'll teach you the basics....*she steps on the sparring mat* we'll go informal...the formalities will do you no good in a true battle *with no warning she steps forward on her right foot, her fist fist slamming forwards from the shoulder* This is tae kwon do...the most basic punch, you use body weight behind it

What body weight? ** She asked lightly, imitating the move perfectly. Right down to where Yvette paused, retracted the punch, and the finishing stance. Jesse was always a quick learner. Doing the move five or six times in succession, then awaiting the review. Standing then hands loosely at her side, wondering how this punch would be defensive. She assumed that blocking such a punch would be more what she was looking for, but she did not even bother to ask Yvette. ** Easy enough.

utilize body weight...and momentum...good *she does the punch once more then strikes upwards with the other hand towards where an opponents face would be, leading with the heel * Palm strike to the face *His fist flies forward once more but this time lower down* punch to the solar plexus.. a palm strike can be deadly if utlized right...you can drive the nose into the brain which is hard to do, or execute to the brow bone just before the temple *she points to the area* an easier move, but still difficult to strike correctly *she nods at Jesse* Defense can be an outer forearm block, bring your arms up in between theirs and push your opponents arms outwards, away from you, or an L block...reach for the back of their arm as they punch and push it towards them the natural way it would fold... *she steps towards Jesse...a direct punch coming from the shoulder, then she does a palm strike*

** Easily absorbing this information, imitating the moves exactly as Yvette demonstrated them, and as she spoke them. Backing a bit as Yvette stepped forward, not expecting anything but perhaps another example of a defensive strike, instead she saw the fist flying for her. She blinked, instinct flipped on, her hands glowing slightly, as she turned her Unnatural power off, her mind almost whipped out, remembering Yvette`s shielding. Almost flipping backwards, but stood her ground, that was not what she was here to learn. The moments hesitation cost her, the arm was only about half way up when Yvette struck her. Jesse`s head turned so the nose wasn`t the exact target, but instead caught the underside of her jaw. Feet slipping beneath her as she landed on her bum. Blinking up in surprise, a hand moving to her cheek. This did not help her migraine either. She sat tasting the blood swell from where she bit her cheek, feeling a slight bruise forming as well. ** I wasn`t ready for an assault. . .I thought. . . that you were still instructing. ** In a way she understood WHY Yvette didn`t tell her, a regular attacker wouldn`t say `Get ready I am going to hit you now!` **

*Jesse was a fast learner, she had watched as she imitated the moves...and had thought that Jesse would be prepared....obviously she was wrong.....it was a good thing that she had used only the barest fraction of her strength and speed* that hesitation cost you *she offers you a hand up* if you couldn't physically block you should have done what you could...don't hesitate....*she looks closely at the damage done to your face*...you will get to the point where one reaction will be as automatic as the other and from there you will learn to choose which reaction is better *she shakes her head and walks to the end of the room... where she opens up the medical cabinet and grabs an instant cold pack* Here use this *she hands it over to you* for now, when something like that happens, just do what ever you think of first, whatever comes naturally

** Receiving the hand up and catching the ice pack. ** I was not going to burn you. . . That was my first instinct. . .** She said quietly putting the cold compress on her face. ** I am not here to learn my UNnatural abilities, I am here to learn to fight. . ** Moving again her head still splitting. She was curious how much she over exerted herself, her body hardly seemed tired. Pressing there for a bit, swallowing down the blood which soon stopped. Understanding what Yvette was trying for. And her kindness was almost a surprise, she figured the new Yvette could care less, instead of reassuring her of what to do. She figured the new Yvette would have scoffed and decided to go train elsewhere. This was perplexing, perhaps this Venin, was like the old, just a colder surface. She smiled slightly. Saying very lightly. ** Thank you. Finally tossing the pack aside, stretching out her neck, and obtaining a similar stance as Yvette, and like her gave no warning. Instead, simply applied what she learned. /Just/ what she learned to practice this. A few punches, a palm, in quick succession. **

*she shrugs* burn me...I heal..I got burnt then I wan't fast enough *she shakes her head* Learning to fight is learning to following your instincts....the physical combat will be added as an instinctive move as you grow more comfortable with it....* it wasn't kindness which prompted her...if was efficiency....she would do anything that beneiftted GUARD, training another was such an action..and training took different methods with different people...the Rookies she was hard on, they needed that...Jesse on the other hand needed a different training agenda....*she watches as you toss the pack aside...a smirk crossing her face..she knows what your going to do before you do it...and easily blocks your moves* Your projecting.....*She shakes her head and moves behind you* don't lead with your shoulder...keep them steady..now punch!* she holds your shoulders firm keeping them from giving anything away before you actually punch*feel the difference?....*she moves around in front of you* your eyes also give it away...never look where you are going to hit..... now try it again

** Feeling her move behind her, and tensing, but no attack comes. Jesse then adopts her apathetic stare, while she moves. Nodding only once when she felt the difference in the attacks. Moving then, not looking at anything but Yvette`s eyes. Her attacks weren`t hard, but placed on points that would hurt. Basic points that most humans already knew about. Using both her hands, her forearms getting sore as they were easily batted away. Her body was not accustomed to this performance. Her body, mind throbbed, but she also understood the sense of accomplishment, the sense of power she felt. How easily it would be to get addicted to the endorphins that raced through the muscles, the mind. How one would thrive off of the feats they accomplished. She reined another set of blows, more ferocious than her first. Her target of course Yvette. Although she did not know that Yvette wasn`t being `kind` the saying was ignorance was bliss. And Jesse was unmistakably happy. ** Teach me more.

You learn quick *she nods* Very well * *she steps back, just barely beyond range of Jesse and her leg kicks out sideways, knee bent , then the knee snaps forward all in one seamless move* that is a roundhouse kick....you can do low, to take out a knee, mid range, or you can high, aim for the head...but that can be dangerous...the high kicks throw you off balance, an enemy can easily take advantage of it * now kick *She waits for you to kick and catches your leg and holds it* For defense...you can block with a knee or arm at the inside of the knee...here *She lightly demonstrates, the leg starting to fold with a slight amount of pressure* or you can catch it, and pull, using the persons own momentum against them another popular is to step forward as you catch it, hook it under your other arm, then bring your elbow down hard on the knee...that will break the leg nine times out of ten..*she releases your leg and steps back* now attack

** Before attacking she practiced the moves a few times, keeping her balance easily. Even with the high kick it would be difficult to knock her off balance. She turned then inhaling deeply, shaking her head. Looking Yvette again directly in the eye, before initiating the attack, again only using the moves that Yvette taught her. Not bothering with sweeps, or defensive maneuvers. Observing how easily Yvette dodged the attacks. How flawlessly. It was like a dance. Increasing her vigor, not wanting to hurt the woman, more perhaps to impress her. The kicks were much stronger than anything upper body. A lean figure, near anorexic looking, pulling through eventually with full strength. Forcing herself not to gasp for air, instead keep a very paced breathing rhythm. A kick, a punch, a kick, two more punches, another lower kick, followed directly by a higher one. Keeping on guard for the defensive rebuttals. Watching Yvette`s elbows carefully, not wanting her knee broken. Soon attacking the woman full force, refusing to allow herself to run out of steam. Each move was identical to the way Yvette taught it, each an exact copy, which did leave room for predictability, so Jesse simply varied the height of each kick or punch. . . which seemed to add variety. **

good...*She blocks the moves with basic blocks... eyes watching closely, tracking muscle movement..*...straighten your knee a little more *..she dances back from a kick as she tosses out random advice.. the moves were near perfect...but predictable...even the rookies added a little more variance...or tried to until she slapped them down...and forced them to go with the basics..* the heights variation is good... *she blocks a few more...letting you get into it, gain some confidence then she steps in, blocking your blows and tossing the basic moves back at you..waiting to see how you react*

** Doing exactly as she was told, watching the arms, the legs, unprepared again, simply ducking, the punch, with one hand flipping backwards, panting at this point, looking directly at Yvette. Approaching her again, if this is how she was to play, Jesse began punching, blocking, not as easily as Yvette was. She could logically predict the next move, trying to pick a pattern, anything. Keeping her moves erratic, using a few punches where a kick should have been more effective, knowing Yvette expected that. She blocked again and again, waiting if there was anything else to learn. Noting too that Yvette, often didn`t repeat the same kicks exactly. A smile grew and faded back to the solid emotionless stare she was infamous for. Using the same varying kicks that Yvette was, difference in strength, difference in where her feet were placed, to how short the distance was between Jesse`s start of the move and Yvette. Drawing backwards again, out of Yvette`s reach, a sweat breaking from her forehead. Her lungs gasping, she still tried to keep it at a slow paced breathing rhythm. ** Teach me something different. . . ** She managed, gulping down the dryness of her throat. Ignoring the splitting headache, and raw lungs. **

*she keeps her attack steady, yet light..ocaisonally giving ground to Jesse only to reclaim it in the next move......she smiles as Jesse backs away* you are doing good, learning fast, but its only the beginning...you have most of the basics down.....now you must strengthrn your moves and learn to adapt them for they comprise the other forms.... *she shakes her head* No, you've learnt enough for today.... go take a shower and relax...

** She narrowed her eyes at Yvette. She hardly begun the training and was asked to quit. Inhaling deeply before nodding, silently grabbing her gear, her lungs slowly stopped screaming for air. Her body didn`t betray the utter pain that she felt. She prevented her body from trembling, her arms sporting bruises. She so easily bruised, the lack of iron in her vegetarian diet. That and she refused now to eat broccoli. Sighing again, as waves of pain seemed to overcome her. All this for a little work-out? Her mind hurt this badly from jogging? Tossing a look to Yvette, that seemed icy, before managing a small ** Thank you Yvette, I have learned much. ** With this she dropped to her knees, while getting herself. Not a dramatic overly tired drop, but almost a relieved -It is finally over- drop. Using her hands for support, licking again her cheek where she bit. Finally standing again, leaning a bit on the wall, knowing Yvette would wind up making her train with the weights. Wincing as she walked slightly, her shins, and calves near numb. She was not about to ask Yvette for help either. Moving to the door, again, feeling a bit closer to the cold woman before her. Glowing a bit at the compliment, she did good. . . Flashing a smile at the woman, waiting for her to follow back to Jesse`s room. ** When should I schedule another sparring match?

*She catches the narrowed look and returns it.....She knew that Jesse had had more than enough..even if she wouldn't admit it...it had been quite a workout for the girl...she reaches up to rub her temple.....besides her head still hurt, she was sure that Jesses did too....* you need to take better care of yourself *She grabs a hold of one arm, turning it over to note the paleness....against the stark bruises* At least take the right vitamins....ya might want to add some protein *she shrugs* the meds would know best, you might want to see them... you are going to hurt more tomorrow than today....*she follows you out the door, watching closely how you walk....looking for favoured limbs, indication that anything was more than bruised* I'd also recomend a long hot bath for the muscles and lots of sleep *they pause before Jesses door* I think mild practice is best for you for three or four days, don't over do it....then in four days we'll see how you are....
